Don’t miss out on these 7 atl RESTAURANTS with a patio
It’s cold outside in Atlanta but despite the cold weather, some of us are still searching for restaurants with patio options in order to dine safely with our favorite people. Here are 7 of my current favorite restaurants with patios along with a list of additional spots I recommend! We can get right to it, grab your jacket and your favorite scarf, let's eat.
The first thing that attracted me to Bold Monk Brewing was its size, vibe, and values rooted in harmony and joy. Not only do they have a stellar selection of beer, Bold Monk’s vast space includes a brewery, two beautiful bars both upstairs and downstairs with dining areas on each level, event spaces, a library, and of course, what we are here for.. a beer garden! The beer garden is located upstairs in the outside area to the right. You’ll step out over the steel-lit bridge into an open space of gravel and dark stained picnic tables with back support!
Bold Monk’s patio is the perfect space to snuggle up with a group of friends to have some beer, coffee, or one of their mouth-watering hot chocolates over some pizza, muscles, and more. I called the host (I haven’t visited them this winter) to see if they had outdoor warmers, and the host confirmed they did, what a plus!!!
Though Saints + Council is the new spot on the block the owner isn’t new to this industry, created by Café Intermezzo’s former CEO William Pitts. Saints + Council’s beautiful cabin-chic vibe invites you in to experience the space in many ways. The layout encompasses a bar, an intimate couch section near a fireplace, a table dining area, a few horseshoe-shaped booths, and a warm outdoor patio with a fire pit in the center.
My brother chose this place for a family outing and we applauded him for finding us a great spot to hang out. Yep, my family and I enjoyed a late brunch turned cocktail hour in the spacious booth that comfortably sat the five of us. After a couple of cocktails and more conversation, we decided to take a stroll through Colony Square. We then returned back to Saints + Council to finish off the evening with a nightcap and appetizers on the patio equipped with warmers and a central blazing fire.
The Works at Chattahoochee is a multi-use development with the goal of preserving Atlanta’s industrial history in the Upper West Side while bringing in unique and refreshing retail, dining, and entertainment. The Works is perfect to get out of the house and work or an outing with friends. There is an assorted offering of food from hippie vegan dishes to sugar-loaded desserts. They also offer many outdoor seating options from a covered patio to The Camp, an outdoor green space with a stage, seating areas, and infrastructures that will bring out the child in you.
If you love Ethiopian Food or even want to try it for the first time, Desta’s is the perfect place to go. Located in the Druid Hills area of Atlanta, Desta Ethiopian Kitchen has been sharing the gift of traditional Ethiopian food since 2006 and continuing to make our palettes happy. They have a spacious covered patio and an indoor dining option. My favorite pair of dishes to order may seem to be overindulgent but trust me, you won’t regret it. I usually order the vegan platter because of the assorted sides along with the salmon tibbs platter. This fills me up and I have the opportunity to pack a box to enjoy leftovers!
Beetle Cat is a seafood and a fresh oyster bar that I wish I had known about much sooner. Beetle Cat transports you to a vintage ship with a bright beachside design in the upper deck that then transforms to a groovy 70’s den in the lower deck. The space thankfully has two covered patios extending from the upstairs and downstairs dining rooms. The food is tasty and the staff is kind with no hesitation to recommend their favorite items. To top it off Beetle Cat offers $1 selected oysters Monday - Friday between 4-5 p.m. and a Doughnut brunch Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Spanish tapas and wine anyone? Barcelona Wine Bar has been one of my favorite spots to relax and enjoy tapas and wine on the patio. Bringing the essence of Spain to Atlanta through two locations (Inman Park and Westside Iron Works) and a wine shop, Barcelona is the perfect spot to step away from the Atlanta streets and enter the streets of Spain. Their ever-transforming menu of Spanish-focused and Mediterranean cuisine created by talented chefs incorporating seasonal ingredients gives me a reason to return for years to come!
AZIZA, open for dinner only, explores non-traditional Israeli cuisine with sprinkles of influences from Morocco, Lebanon, Persia, and Iran crafted by Chef Brandon Hughes. In addition to the fresh and tasty dishes, they have a way of satisfying the eye through breathtaking decor and museum-worthy food plating. They have a beautiful dining room and an inviting covered patio. Whether you’re going for dessert and tea service or a full course meal, they make it easy to enjoy by offering complimentary valet and self-parking in the parking deck. If you’re in the area during the day, check out their sister restaurant, Falafel Nation next door, open from 12p-8p
